Pipe Major Donald McDonald (CWO Retired ) was asked to pipe in the head table at the event which had
over 700 guests, General Walt Natynczyk, the Commander of Defence Staff for DND asked our PM how long he had been piping,
PM McDonald replied "64 years, Sir" whereupon General Natynczyk said "I have something for you" and presented our
Pipe Major with a CDS Coin, as shown here.
